The Freedom™ CPAP Battery gives you the freedom to power your PAP device when and where you need it!
The Freedom™ is the perfect solution for outdoor and travel enthusiasts. It’s great for use in tents, RVs, travel trailers, and boats. It’s also ideal for those who love to travel abroad as it meets FAA requirements for lithium-ion batteries that can be taken in carry-on baggage.
When inclement weather strikes you can use the Freedom™ CPAP Battery as a backup power supply during power outages so you never have to worry about another sleepless night without your CPAP machine.
The easy-to-read digital display indicates the remaining charge level of the battery and if you need more power you can always pigtail two Freedom™ batteries together.
As an added bonus the Freedom™ CPAP Battery features a 5V USB port and a DC input cord that let you charge most common handheld devices such as cell phones, MP3 players and tablets.
Provides 12V direct current to operate most makes and models of PAP devices. View the Specifications tab for device compatibility and average run time information.
Use in a single battery configuration or pigtail two Freedom™ batteries together for even more power.
Digital display screen shows the remaining power level of the battery.
Use as a backup power supply so your PAP therapy is not interrupted in the event of a power outage.
Remain compliant with your PAP therapy no matter where your world takes you! Great for use on land, at sea or in the air.
Options for charging the Freedom™ CPAP Battery in a vehicle or by using the power of the sun.
Not just for your CPAP machine… the 5V USB port and included DC input cord allow you to power your other small electronic devices such as cell phones and tablets.

The Freedom™ CPAP Battery is intended to provide external battery power to PAP (positive airway pressure) devices when AC power is unavailable during travel or power outages. The Freedom™ can also be used to power or charge most common portable electronic devices such as cell phones and tablets. Use of the battery with a device that has higher amperage requirements than the output of the battery (over 8A) may cause the internal circuitry of the battery to shut off to protect from thermal runaway.
COMPATIBILITY & AVERAGE RUN TIMES
All PAP device makes and models have different voltage and direct current capability requirements which determine the type of external battery that can be used. The unique universal design of the Freedom™ CPAP Battery allows it to power most common PAP devices; however, some devices will require a device-specific connection component. Please note these components are not included in the standard Freedom™ CPAP Battery Kit box but may be bundled with the kit depending upon the dealer you purchase the product from.
Reference your specific PAP device below to determine which connection components are required. Do not attempt to connect your PAP device to the Freedom™ CPAP Battery before reading these connection instructions. If your PAP device is not listed or you have any questions please contact us at 1-866-535-5335.
Please note some older obsolete PAP devices and targeted ventilation PAP devices (VPAP, SV, etc.) may not be compatible or may require more power than the Freedom™ CPAP Battery can provide.
Multiple factors will affect how long the Freedom™ CPAP Battery will power a PAP device, including, but not limited to device type, pressure setting, altitude, humidifier usage, and if an additional connection component is required in conjunction with the battery.
BiLevel devices will have lower run times as the pressure setting is not constant and changes throughout the night requiring more power to operate the device.
The use of heated humidification and heated tubing will significantly reduce expected run times by up to two thirds in most cases and in some cases could prevent the battery from being able to power the PAP device. To obtain optimal battery performance we recommend you forgo the use of heated humidification and heated tubing.
To increase average run times the Freedom™ CPAP Battery can be used in a dual battery configuration by pigtailing two batteries together. Please note that the Freedom™ CPAP Battery and discontinued C-100 CPAP Battery are not compatible due to circuit board differences and cannot be used in a dual battery configuration.
Average run times are based on CPAP devices without the use of heated humidification or heated tubing on a pressure setting of 10 cm/H2O.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do insurance companies pay for the Freedom™ CPAP Battery?
The Freedom™ CPAP Battery is not a Medicare coded item and is not considered medically necessary; therefore, it will most likely not be covered by insurance.
How long does it take to charge the Freedom™ CPAP Battery?
It will take approximately 4 hours (per battery when completely discharged) to charge the Freedom™ CPAP Battery. The Freedom™ CPAP Battery is made from high capacity lithium-ion cells so there is not the typical “memory loss” issues that are associated with other types of batteries. The battery does not need to be fully discharged before recharging.
Can the Freedom™ CPAP Battery be used to power other small electronic devices?
Yes. The Freedom™ CPAP Battery can be used to power other small electronic devices such as cell phones and tablets via the 5V USB port, the DC Input Cord included with the CPAP Battery Kit or by using the 150W Sine Wave Power Inverter in conjunction with the battery.
Can I use the Freedom™ CPAP Battery as a backup option in the event of power outage?
Yes. The Freedom™ CPAP Battery can be used as a backup power supply for your PAP device during power outages. You may leave your PAP device connected to the battery when you sleep and in the event AC power is lost the battery will automatically begin powering your PAP device.
When AC power is available it will bypass the lithium-ion cells of the battery thus preventing unnecessary cycling and degredation of the cells. In the event AC power is lost the battery will recognize this lack of power flow and automatically begin powering your device uninterrupted.
Please note this is a new feature of the Freedom™ CPAP Battery and does not apply to the discontinued C-100 CPAP Battery model.
Can I take the Freedom™ CPAP Battery on an airplane?
Yes. The Freedom™ CPAP Battery meets current requirements for lithium-ion batteries allowed in carry-on baggage in the United States (100 watt hours or less per battery). Lithium-ion batteries are not allowed in checked baggage. If you are planning to use the CPAP Battery on an aircraft, please contact your airline as they may have specific requirements regarding the use of PAP devices and/or lithium-ion batteries during flight.
The Freedom™ CPAP Battery, components and accessories are under warranty for manufacturing and quality defects for one (1) year
